While running only business of manufacturing paper bag(feed bag) after establishing company with the name of Seogwang Trading Company on June 20, 1979, we changed company name to current Woosung Trading Company Co., Ltd. when adding the business of medicines for animal to business purposes on October 24 of same year.
With rapid growth of livestock industry in 1980s, we underwent high growth period, when until early 1990s, we manufactured and sold feed additives mainly centered on additives made to order.
With the turning point in 1992 to have established Seoul office for vitalizing positive development of new product and marketing activities, we came to start business of selling animal medicines to general households of livestock industry on full stage and as a result of pouring in company's full-scaled efforts to spread our capacity through the best quality, fast information and buildup of service system, our company rose to 7th rank in the industry of animal medicine in 1997 and in particular, 'Carorak', our own product, became a medicine representing Woosung Trading, which has been used by more than 60% of domestic pig breeders and enjoyed great love of livestock households. Sale of feed for pet dog started to keep pace with pet dog industry settling as new culture of 21st century is really holding fast No.1 position in domestic industry of manufacturing pet feed.
Besides, we are possessing 86 kinds of animal medicines and 7 approved items of supportive feed as a company having acquired certificate of distinguished company in managing quality of animal medicines, of which 40 kinds of general products are supplied to livestock households through more than 100 of distributors of animal medicine, and in future, Woosung Trading prepared for the case that business of manufacturing animal medicine is deregulated from the industries allowed only to medium and small companies will leap forward again through innovative transformation of company, make solid our position of No.1 rank in this industry and arrange foundation to grow to international company through environmental business(raw materials of fertilizer), new business and export.
