Bean & World Co., Ltd. was established by the joint investment of the Madu Sword Bean Farmers Team, Jincheon-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do, as the partner farm of Chungbuk National University designated by the Group of Professors for Local Agricultural Cooperation in Chungbuk National University. Bean & World produces rapid-ferment bean paste, bean paste and red chilli paste, traditional fermented food using company produced sword beans. Starting with the production and sales of rapid-ferment bean paste in 1999, Bean & World is widely recognized for the quality of products and technologies including winning the Gold Medal at the Chungcheongbu-do Agricultural Products Fair, the Excellent Prize in World Agricultural Technology Development by SegyeIlbo, the Grand Prize in the Traditional Food Category at the Kimchi Expo by the MunhwaIlbo, and selection as an Agricultural Venture Firm in 2006. The business philosophy of Bean & World includes the improvement of the added value of agricultural products of Korea, the creation of profits, the improvement of national health, the supply of safe food, and the progressive inheritance and globalization of the traditional sauces of Korea. As an implementation strategy, Bean & World focuses on building up a strict quality management system from the production to the processing of agricultural products and securing technological competitiveness as the key capability. To this end, Bean & World has been continuing a cooperation relationship with Chungbuk National University, Chungbuk Provincial University of Science and Technology, Chungbuk Agricultural Research and Extension Services of Chungcheongbuk-do and the Korea Food Research Institute.
