AskStory, established in 2013, is a software development company with the goal of developing an artificial intelligence engine using big data technology and autonomic machine learning algorithms. Based on our philosophy in organization management, pursuing proper and quick decision making as well as action, the AskStory team consists of various professionals in business administration, strategic planning, SW development, UI/UX designing, sales, marketing and so on. Also two of our employees are foreigners, one from the UK and the other from Brazil,which reflect our will to expand the scope of the business into global level. With a number of government support programs, AskStory has managed to develop the AI engine called AskI. We plan to apply the engine to various products and services so that AI technologies can be commercialized in any industry. Such examples are an intelligent recommendation system, an indoor environment control and a detection system of user movementpatterns. Eventually, these technologies can be combined to achieve our fundamental objective, realization of easy and cheap Smart home. At the current level, AskStory’s technological strengths lie in machine learning, natural language process and voice recognition, text mining and automatic recommendation functions.The areas of business to which we have applied the above technologies are Energy efficiency and Employment/Recruitment. In the summer of 2016, AskStory launched a smart thermostat/AI air conditioner controller, ’myOndo’ and in January 2018, the beta service of an AI employment/recruitment matching system, ’Whyme’, has started. AskStory acquired various patents and relevant intellectual property rights with regard to myOndo and Whyme, which allowed the company to establish itself firmly in the IoT and AI platform market. As a result, the sales figure in the first half of 2018 already matched that of 2017 and the number of user from who our cloud server collects data reached more than 10,000.
