MPR-B-A001 is a Self-Polishing Copolymer, which is capable of effectively preventing marine organisms from adhering to the surface of vessels, by gradually decomposing
and self-abrasing. It is advantageous in that the self-abrasion characteristics can be maintained for a long period of time, because the adhering force between the paint and the surface of the vessel is very high.. If marine life is attached using such an antifouling paint, the fuel consumption is increased by 40%, and environmental destruction such as carbon dioxide emission occurs.

The world's fleet uses 350 million tonnes of fuel annually, emitting some 1.1 billion tonnes
of CO2 and over 10 million tonnes of SO2.

Self-Polishing Copolymer (SPC) antifouling release biocides by a hydrolysis or ion exchange reaction of an acrylic polymer with seawater. This gives greatly increased control over biocide release.
A monomer-polymer that consists of acrylic resin which acrylic monomers and functional monomers have been copolymerized.

a. Suitable (improper) extinguishing methods
Use alcohol foam, carbon dioxide or water spray for firefighting related to this material.
Use dry sand or earth for firefighting.
b. Specific hazards arising from chemicals
Specific hazards arising from the chemical.
Highly flammable liquid and vapor may react violently and may cause fire and explosion.
Vapor may be released to the ignition source and ignited.
During burning, pyrolysis or combustion may produce irritating and highly toxic gases.
May form explosive mixture at or above burning point
Container may explode on heating
Highly flammable: easily ignited by heat, spark, flame
Leaks may cause fire / explosion.
Vapors may explode indoors, outdoors, and in drains
Some of it may burn, but it will not ignite easily.
Vapors may form explosive mixtures with air.
Non-flammable, the substance itself does not burn but decomposes on heating, resulting in corrosive / toxic substances.

a. Personal precautions and protective equipment
Avoid inhaling dust, fume, gas, mist, steam, and spray.
Remove all ignition sources as very fine particles may cause fire or explosion.
Wipe off any spills immediately and follow all protective precautions.
Isolate the contaminated area.
If you do not need to enter or do not have protective equipment, do not go in.
Remove all ignition sources.

b. What you need to do to protect the environment
Prevent entry into waterways, sewers, basements and confined spaces.
c. Purification or Removal Methods
Pile up the embankment and collect the water for firefighting.
Absorb spillage with inert materials (e.g. dry sand or earth) and place in a chemical waste container.
Remove flying dust and moisten with water to prevent scattering.
Absorb liquid and rinse contaminated area with detergent and water.
In case of large spills, dredge a ditch far from the spill.
Collect absorbed material using clean explosion-proof tools

Dedication to Our Customers EcoWave works closely with customers to develop environmentally compliant products for marine antifoul paints with special care. We look forward to helping you select or custom develop the marine product that best meets your needs. Through protection of our marine environments we aim to protect the well-being of the people. Our expert in paint formulation has more than 20 years experience in marine paint and coating product development. Our engineers work with you to determine the planned product quality and start the composition process. This process may require advanced equipment and complex training. Polymer resin is like industrial counterpart of natural plant resins, polymer resin starts out as a binder that hardened permanently left out in the air for a period of time. It is a reaction in which a monomer unit binds and loses a part of its functional group. We are especially focused on condensation reactions and focus on the development of resins for marine coatings through this polymerization technology and have more than 20 years experience in marine coating and coating product development.
