House and Beyond conducts new renewable energy distribution business to create sustainable life for people to allow enjoying the minimum cultural life, targeting on the BoP (Bottom of Pyramid) market consisting of 3.5 billion low income earners who live without electricity in developing countries. To do this, the company has developed Off-Grid Solar Home System SH-1000 and provides the products to Honduras, South America. The SH-1000 model consists of solar cell panels, a battery, a MPPT controller and a pure sine wave inverter.
[ Main Function ]
For the controller, which is one of the core technologies for the SH-1000 model, we use solar harvesting MPPT controlling technology. Electricity generated from solar cells can vary, depending on environmental conditions. Each cell has a Maximum Power Point (MPP). MPP can be changed by strength of light, temperature, seasonal factors and climate.
To obtain the maximum electricity from solar cells, Maximum Power Point (MPP) control function is necessary to ensure that PV cells always work near Vmp.
We trace the maximum energy capacity to be obtained from solar cells by seeking the optimized MPP through RCC (Ripple Correlation Control) and create an algorithm to increase battery charging efficiency with voltage tracking algorithm to find the harvesting peak of the maximum electricity.
In addition, we apply high efficient inverting technology suitable for off-grid, considering no electricity inflow from the outside. As inverter output waves created by an On-Off circuit during alternating current output process include high frequency waves and such high frequency waves reduce efficiency of an inverter. Considering such circumstance, we created a highly efficient inverter optimized for off-grid by using high frequency wave reduction algorithm (PWM) and applying the algorithm to make constant voltage and current of sine waves.
