It is called nickel silver, where nickel is added to brass and the color is similar to silver.
It has long been used for decorations, bowls, instruments, silver stands, and materials for
chemical devices because of its high elasticity and corrosion resistance. The make-up of
frequently used nickel silver is 10-20% nickel and 15-30% zinc. It is also used for general
electric resistance devices for its high high-resistance and corrosion-resistance, however, not
appropriate for precision resistance devices for its high temperature-resistance derivatives.
