The fluid bed or air suspension process is used for granulation or agglomeration, and layering and coating for various sizes of particles. It is also used for drying. The fluid bed process can be divided into 3 types according to the position of the spray nozzle: Top Spray, Bottom Spray, and Tangential Spray. Wet granulation processed by the fluid bed in an airtight chamber is concocted through steps and applied to various fields of industries, including medication, food, fertilizer, and more. This process has advantages over other wet granulation processes in the yield of raw material, and it shortens manufacturing time because mixing, granulation, drying, and coating of a pulverulent body can all be done in one container.
