Shinkwang Pelletizing Granular Activated Carbon(PGAC) is high dignified product which is manufactured by pressing out by high pressure and has specially high hardness(MIN 99%) and low differential calculus content(80 mg/1kg) and whose dimension are 12Ф, 4Ф, 3Ф, 1.5Ф.
■ Absorption heat when activated Carbon is absorbed
Absorption is exothermic reaction which is divided into early absorption and condensing generation after absorption. As long as absorption amount, absorption heat is dependent on each step and sort of gas. Especially, if gas has high density and temperature, activated carbon absorption tower requires cooling equipment. But if cooling equipment does not exist, activated carbon sometimes burns for itself by absorption heat. Crushing carbon burns for itself at 200-250℃ whose material is a family of cocoanut, and pelletizing granular activated carbon burns for itself at 400-500℃ whose material is a family of coal. Therefore, it is proper to use pelletizing activated carbon when air gas is over 80℃ or absorbed matter has high density.
■ Activated carbon absorption tower pressure loss
When superficial linear velocity(LV) of gas is equal, the smaller particle size is, the higher absorption efficiency is. But, optimal particle size should be chosen in consideration of normal pressure of ventilator as ventilation pressure loss is increasing.

Air absorption tower has much difficulty in mechanical design and establishment due to pressure loss. But, it is more efficient than crushing carbon when machine is established because pelletizing carbon has high porosity between particles and whose particle is even and pressure loss is low.
