Introduction

LED Stroboscope is a instrument that can observe rotating objects or moving objects at high-speed with still image by radiating very short pulse light. For example, if a light at 1000 FPM is irradiated on object rotating at 1000 RPM(SI unit: r/min), it is observed as being still. At this time, flash per minute (FPM) is the revolution per minute (RPM) of the object. Tachometer is divided into contact type and noncontact type (e.g. laser etc.). Laser tachometer attaches reflexive tape to objects for the reflection of light, irradiates laser on objects and measures rotation speed by detecting reflected light. Tachometer automatically measures RPM but since reflexive tape must be attached to objects measured, it is impossible to use objects to which attachment is difficult (small object, spindle, oily objects, etc.) Stroboscope must measure objects manually relying on human eye, and even in FRM at 1/2, 1/3... of rotating body's RPM, it is observed as still image, which might cause errors.
