Introduction
The Intellian v80G is a fully integrated 83-cm Ku-band stabilized maritime VSAT system that acquires and locks onto the satellite without requiring a separate input from the ship’s gyrocompass. This allows you to have a reliable and “always-on” broadband connection at sea.
The Intellian v80G is the smallest antenna that works without the need for a spread spectrum satellite network transmission. This provides a compact system in a TDMA or SCPC transmission format. The higher-gain performance design enables the antenna to operate on the fringes of the signal footprint with superior operation.
With its three-axis stabilization platform, the v80G has superior tracking performance that is nearly equal to the one-meter grade VSAT antenna system. The v80G can be configured for SCPC, broadband, or hybrid satellite networks. It is suitable for high-speed Internet, weather and chart updates, e-mail, file and image transfer, video conference, VoIP, VPNs, and database backup. The v80G is designed and built to meet or exceed the industry and military standards for vibration, shock, and EMC to ensure greatest reliability in any sea conditions.
The all new Antenna Control Unit (ACU) supports Wi-Fi connectivity for a simple remote PC connection. If the ACU is installed at a great distance from the antenna, then the built-in bluetooth connection module inside the antenna dome can enable a PC connection right alongside the dome.
The v80G operates with just two cables to the antenna and combines TX signals and 8W BUC power in one cable and the RX signal in the second cable.
