Yeonhwado is a folk painting of lotus flowers loved by ordinary people. The lotus flowers were the symbols that stand for commoner’s wish of happiness, long life, health and prosperity of their descendants. Since ancient times, the louts flower has been called “The flower of a true gentleman”, because it blooms beautifully in the mud.
A single lotus flower means integrity, but many lotus flowers mean prosperity.
