■ ZombieZERO Series’ overview
Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) is a new hacking technique used by cyber criminals to persistently attack target victims using various methods (e-mail, web, etc.) until their objectives are achieved. APT's attacking method is to take control of the inside employee's PC in specific organization, access the internal server or database through the PC, and remove or destroy confidential information.
Ransomware: A type of malware that encrypts all images and x-document files on a PC and restricts access and requires money in exchange for decryption.
Zombie ZERO is a new security solution designed to detect and defend against unknown APT and Ransomware attacks. It provides robust information security to prevent ransomware, data exfiltration and network damages.
It is composed of the behavior-based defense product on Endpoint (EDR) and the packet analysis product based on behavior on Network (Inspector) and interworking with each other. So it minimizes the false positive rate and enables accurate judgment and prompt response, and detects / blocks malware that bypasses the network and infiltrates.
It can be operated as a cloud type.
■ ZombieZERO EDR for APT
It's a solution to detect / block malware on end-point based on behavior and respond new and variant malware. It analyzes based on behavior, not signature. It can execute holding function so users can analyze malware before the file execution and be operated based on whitelist policy, so it responds ZERO DAY and malware bypassing network effectively. In addition, it supports process hiding detection, memory falsification detection, peeking prevention, reverse access detection, traffic’s abnormal behavior detection, file driver isolation, user behavior detection, and file transfer detection.
■ ZombieZERO SECaaS (Security as a Service)
It is a cloud version of ZombieZERO EDR for Ransomware, and Ransomware response solution through EDR (Endpoint Detection & Response). NPCore cooperated with KT, and now KT is providing services to SMBs in the form of SECaaS (Security as a Service) with the brand name ‘KT securegate’. This product specializes for telecom companies due to the monthly fee billing system such as mobile phone. ‘SECaaS’ sends network packets from endpoints to the security server (cloud version of ZombieZERO Manager) in IDC to respond to Ransomware. Central management functions are provided on the Web.
2. Competencies
Behavior-based virtual engine that performs static / dynamic analysis complemented Anti-Virus’ Zero-day vulnerability.
It protects against attacks of ransomware, new APT, various malware attacks at the network and end-point.
Provides double detection / block function about file leak, DDoS attack and hacking, C & C server access.
Installed on the NIC driver, so there is no conflict with other programs, and stability and performance are guaranteed.
By installing ‘EDR’, behavior-based malware detection/blocking solution, to endpoint (user PC), it is possible to prepare response system against malware (including SSL) that bypasses the SandBox. Through this, ‘ZombiwZERO Series’ can detect and block all the APT attacks including Inbound and Outbound attacks
APT defense equipment alone can detect Ransomware, but it cannot block in real time. Due to ‘EDR’ installation, you can prevent damage to your PC by detecting / blocking in real-time based on behavior in case of Ransomware attack.
When downloading a file from the web or other media, ‘EDR’ pauses the execution. After ZombieZERO Inspector analyzes the file, ‘EDR’ executes only normal file to respond against malware attack such as Dropper, Downloader

- Anti-Virus : Detects/analyzes/treats based on pattern, so can be damaged by unknown malware attack (Zero-Day). Can respond later
- Zombie ZERO : Can detect/analyze/treat unknown malware attack in real time based on patter and behavior.
Recently endpoint security’s importance is emphasized, so ‘ZombieZERO Series’ is configured as a double defense type that network and endpoint are linked with each other.
‘ZombieZERO Series’ can customize and provides quick technical support / maintenance as much as possible according to customer's environment
Other competitors operate use-specific solutions separately, so client should purchase and operate each. But ‘ZombieZERO Series’ can solve with only all-in-one device, so it has competitiveness about efficiency for operation and cost reduction. ‘ZombieZERO Series’ has 30% price competitiveness compared to foreign products and 15% price competitiveness compared to domestic products.
