Introduction
TDC Co., Ltd. Dr.Young was first created by an effort to curate for the skin needs of its founder, Ms. Kyung A Chae. Ever since little, Kyung A had an extremely sensitive skin. She tried an array of cosmetic brands but always ended up having to go see a dermatologist to treat her allergic reaction to these products. Then, after years of facing constant anxieties regarding her skin troubles, Kyung A decided to launch her own brand with a focus on mild cosmetics, targeting those with similar skin problems to herself. And after years of cooperating with six skin experts whose professions range from dermatologists to oriental medicine doctor to pharmaceutical chemists, Kyung A launched Dr.Young in 2008! As Dr.Young products were designed to help people like Kyung A, she was a frequent subject of their test runs. For example, as Kyung A’s skin is prone to serious surfactant allergy, she tested multiple trial runs on her skin before coming up with Dr.Young’s flagship cleaners – ‘Camilla Deep Cleansing Foam’ and ‘Camilla Deep Cleansing Oil”. By testing these products herself, Kyung A made sure that they could be safely used on sensitive skin such as her own. Dr.Young avoids making exaggerated claims of curing all skin troubles. Likewise, cosmetics should always faithfully serve its basic functions, such as UV blocking and moisturizing. Kyung A’s commitment to this philosophy and her own interest in her products have been the driving force behind Dr.Young.
