People who eat food don't know about it exactly, however, a person who makes it know in detail. Food has shown itself capable both of killing and curing people. So, the people who make the food that we eat take a lot of responsibility. In order to practice our business philosophy, BOMCHOYEO has purchased fresh anchovies caught around the port of Hongwon in Seo- cheon in spring and early summer to make Salt-Fermented Anchovy Sauce.
Also, we have purchased sea salt and removed bitterns from it for 3 years and then mixed anchovies with sea salt. After more than 36 months of aging processes, we can obtain Salt-Fermented Anchovy Sauce. Likewise, BOMCHOYEO has produced high quality product by using natural ingredients, plus time for aging process, without using any artificial or chemical additives. Moreover, BOMCHOYEO has currently developed Fish Sauce, which has the wonderful savory taste, by utilizing meju(fermented soybean lump) which is called a typical fermented food of Korea, reflecting our ancestor's wisdom. This product is registered on the books of the patent office in Korea. Through our further R&D activities, we pledge that we will develop a variety of sauces as well as playing a leading role in promotion of health foods at home and abroad.

Product description
BOMCHOYEO Fish Sauce is made with fresh anchovies, caught around the port of Hongwon in Seocheon in spring and early summer, and sea salt in which bitterns are removed for 3 years, with meju which is made of local soybeans. After mixing them at the rate designated and the aging process of 3 years, undiluted solution is extracted and it has passed through more than 6 months of second aging process and settling time. Hence, it boasts of deep and savory taste to be widely used for seasoning, such as salad dressing, soy sauce for sushi, sauce for vegetable salad, etc. because it has never used any artificial additives.


Manufacturing processes of Fish Sauce

Soybeans, purchased in Autumn, are washed and boil them for 6 hours. Then, make meju and keep it fermented for 60 days in a room with traditional ondol(underfloor heating) at 35℃.
Wash fermented meju carefully and then soak it in water. After that, mix it with anchovies, sea salt and keep them stored in the drinking water tank for 36 months to be naturally matured.
