ATTENUATOR 

 

- Used to temporarily add a calibrated amount of signal loss in order to test the power level margins in a fiber optic communication system.

- It can also be permanently installed in a fiber optic communication link to properly match transmitter and receiver optical signal levels. 

-It is a circuit that decreases the strength of the input signal either continously or step by step wothout appreciable signal distortion while substantially maintaining constant impedance match.

- It can be applied in areas of Lab or Field Installation, System Testing and Installation & HDTV
