Things to check before placing an order.
The main units of Bijou mini. Are all the same, but guide bar length can change by the height of window x-frames.
SS, MM, LL types are standardized sizes, and other than them are all custom-made.
When ordering SD, SM, ML, LO types, please write down the precise length of your window x-frames on the request form.
Refer to the way of measuring the height of window x-frames down below.

What to check in the windows.
Check the type of the window

The windows that are applicable.
Sliding windows

Regular sliding windows - The heights of inner and outer windows are the same.
Sliding, combination windows - Combination windows with higher inner windows + shorter outer windows

Windows that are not applicable - Casement Windows
Most of sliding PVC windows in the market are compatible.
But, sliding aluminum windows or PVC windows that are installed in the container can be incompatible.

The right height of the window for installation
Checking the window x-frame height : The lower rails of the x-frame of sliding windows all the way to the upper rail
• 330~430mm : Order a SD type x-frame guide bar
• 430~530mm : Order a SS type x-frame guide bar
• 530~ 1080mm : Order a SM type x-frame guide bar
• 1080~1180mm : Order a MM type x-frame guide bar
• 1180~1933mm : Order a ML type x-frame guide bar
• 1933~2,033mm : Order a LL type x-frame guide bar
• Over 2033mm : Order a LO type x-frame guide bar

The remote allows both the range hood and bijou mini to work well together conveniently.
The fresh air from the outside comes in and gets purified through Bijou mini And then with the help of the range hoods, it helps let out the stale air from the enclosed area.

HOW TO USE
A main unit and remote control

Power on/off : Tap the power button to turn on/off the unit (It responds when you lift a finger after pressing the button once. )
Deactivating auto shutoff : Auto shutoff is deactivated when the product is released from the factory.
Activation of auto shutoff Air volume LED (WHITE) It stops working automatically after 3-hour operation.

Replacement cycles of dust filters
Recommended to change th filter every 4 months
Alerts for replacement cycles of dust filters : When power is on, the x-alerting sound works & air volume LED turns off
Initializing the replacement cycles : After replacement, press the power button for more than 5 sec. While the power is on.

How to use a remote
Power on/off air volume adjustent available.
Recommended to mount on the wall or range hood.
Battery replacement : Change the battery after taking the front cover off. (battery size: CR2032)

Adjust the air volume by touching the air volume button, It responds when you lift the finger after touching the button.

How to install
Window x-frame guide bars

Installation of window x-frame guide bars (short window installation)
1. Get rid of the stopper equipped in the window x-frame
2. Check the spaces between window x-frame bars and installing positions by placing 1 window x-frame guide bar set(2 pieces) onto the window rails that area assembled with windows.
3. Make sure if the double-sided tape flanges from the window x-frame guide bars fit into the rail slots of the window x-frames.
4. If they don't fit, separate the window x-frame guide from them and reassemble the bars By rotating up and down.
5. Also check if the rain block plate from the socket is facing downwards.
6. Insert the packing into the sockets.
7. Wipe off the rail slots from the window x-frames.
(it refers to the areas that are covered with double-sided tape on the window x-frame bars)
8. Place the window x-frame bars onto the rails with windows combined and adjust the height Of the rail blocks.
9. Remove the lining film of the double side tape from the window x-frame guide bars.
10. Move the height-adjusted window x-frame guide bars to the sides.
Press firmly to keep the double-sided tape stay put onto the window x-frames.
11. Cut the weather seal tape to the height of windows, and apply on the edge of the windows.

How to install the window x-frame bars (for taller windows)
After removing a stopper from [how to install on the short windows], proceed with the following process.
1. Separate the rail blocks from the lower part of the window x-frame guide bars.
2. Combine the lower part of the window x-frame guide bars into the upper part of the connection blocks that have been installed on the expansion guide bars.
3. Insert the rail blocks that have been taken out of process no.1 into the lower part of the expansion guide bars.
4. Once the window x-frame guide bar modules and expansion guide bar modules are combined properly, all parts assembled together will look like the picture here.
After having completed No.4 process, remove the lining film of the double-sided tape And proceed with No.2 from
[how to install on short windows].
There is a risk of the window x-frame guide bars, so make sure to get rid of the double-sided tape from the bottom before proceeding with the next process.

How to install Main unit
1. Check if the sides of the main unit comes into contact with the wall or handle of the windows when placing the suction nozzle into the holes of inner connecting sockets.
2. If they do, rotate the main unit to avoid the contact.
3. Connect the adaptor power jack to the main unit.
4. If necessary, you can tidy up cables by inserting adapter cables into the slots of the back of main unit.
5. Secure the suction nozzle into the inner connecting sockets. You can adjust the insertion depth by 3 different levels.
6. Organize the adapter cables using cable clips
7. Plug the adapter into the outlet, and press the power button to start.

How to clean and replace the filters.
Make sure to turn off the power before replacing or cleaning filters.

How to clean
1. Separate the filter by pulling the filter housing from the main unit
2. Take the pre-filter, dust filter out of the filter housing.
3. Clean the pre-filter with water, and dust filter with a vacuum cleaner
Do not wash the dust filter with water.
4. Put the dried dust filter and pre-filter back into the filter housing and install Into the main unit.

How to replace the filters
1. Replace the dust filter if the replacement x-alert is on. The average replacement cycle is about 4 months.
2. Pull the filter housing out of the main unit to separate.
3. Remove the dust filter from the filter housing, and install the new dust filter in the right position.
4. Put the filter housing back into the main unit.

Warning related safety and usage

Regarding power
- When using in the kitchen, keep the main unit away from water.
- Do not pull the plug in or out with wet hands
- Do not plug the power into the loose outlet.
- Unplug when not in use.
- Do not pull the plug out by its cord.
- Do not bend the power cord or let it damaged by leaving a heavy item on it.
- Put the plug into the outlet after completing installation.

Precaution
- Do not pull the plug out or move the device while in operation.
- Keep the device away from moisture. Do not directly sprinkle water to it.
- Do not touch the inside of the device with wet hands
- Do not put any foreign materials into the ventilation holes.
- Make sure to use filters at all times.
- Do not pull the filter out or put your hands into the filter inserting section.

Cleaning tips.
- Replace and clean the filters after turning the power off.
- Do not wipe the device with alkaline detergents.
- Do not apply the stickers on the unit and do not use sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid or organic solvents (thinner, kerosene, acetone) to wipe the surface.
- Keep the moisture from entering the inside the unit.

Q. Can I install it in my office or studio apartment windows?

Q. How do I choose the length of the guide bar?
Refer to 'how to measure the window x-frame heights' on the previous instruction.

Q. Can I move the installed device to other places?
Yes. All you need to do is to measure the height of window x-frames of newly installed windows. And you can either use the existing guide bars or purchase new one if the window x-frame heights are different than previous ones.

Q. The length of the adapter is short.
You can use it by purchasing an extension cable or cord.
