Application background
 • Revelops, developed by our company, is a portable displacement measuring instrument developed so that anyone can easily use the non-contact laser displacement sensor, which is mainly used in the automation industry, anywhere. Developed our own product using our laser displacement sensor utilization technology with the concept of simplified and wireless measurement data collection and analysis, rechargeable battery, and measurement value display functions.
 • The main components of “Levelops” consist of a laser displacement sensor, a rechargeable battery, and a dedicated data analysis board, and the development of internal arrangement of major components and miniaturization case design has been completed to make it wireless and portable.
 
 
 
 
Prototype introduction
 • Developed the application of precision displacement sensors, which are mainly used in the existing manufacturing industry, as portable devices capable of wireless operation and intuitive confirmation.
 • The shape of an object can be measured using a precision displacement sensor with a response speed of 10ms and a measurement precision of 30㎛, and the displacement of the object that changes at high speed is recorded for intuitive confirmation through an indicator.

As the first product, we introduce a rail profile wear measurement device with a non-contact laser displacement sensor. It is a portable, mobile-based rail profile wear measurement device that has secured high-precision wear measurement and real-time visualization analysis technology on the rail surface in a certain section. High precision and high added value. We propose a rail replacement cycle through history management by reducing inspection costs and securing stability through local production of rail profile wear.
The rail profile wear measurement equipment “Railops” is portable and can be easily mounted on the bottom of the rail. Simple operation and quick installation are possible through miniaturization and wireless design.
Through belt-driven step motor control, the displacement sensor moves left and right with precision and scans over the rail cross-section.
The data measured by controlling the operation of the displacement sensor is collected and analyzed by the MCU control module and firmware.
Transferred to tablet software
Afterwards, when you tap Scan on the main dashboard, the displacement sensor mounted on the rail starts rolling and scans the cross section of the rail profile.
Afterwards, the rail profile wear information is visualized on the wear graph.
When you press Save, the data is saved and the next rail profile is measured through reset.
It is used for saved data reports, and also implements an active maintenance system by notifying rail profile replacement cycles through storage and backup on the institutional server.

The rail profile wear measurement device using the non-contact laser sensor of ROBS Co., Ltd. has secured reliability through technology transfer from the Korea Railroad Research Institute, and based on this technology, we will take responsibility for a safe future for railroads by preventing railroad derailments.
