The Boalock bolt is an anti-loosening bolt that uses the rotational elasticity of a coil spring and was developed for use in places where nuts cannot be used.
In other words, this product was developed to use bolts with a loosening prevention function where there is a tab on the floor or a tab on the block.
Create a spring room at the end of the bolt, insert the coil spring for the bolt, make a groove at the upper end of the spring room, place the spring in this groove and fix it so that it cannot move, and the other end is spaced a certain distance away from the locking protrusion made at the end of the bolt. This product is positioned freely without fixing.
When fastening a bolt to the bottom tab, the spring is first fastened to the bottom tab, and then the bolt thread is fastened. At this time, since one end of the spring is fixed, the friction force between the spring and the bottom tab acts in the centrifugal direction, shrinking the spring in the centrifugal direction, making assembly easier. When loosening occurs due to a non-artificial external environment, the spring expands in the circumferential direction and releases the tab. It adheres strongly to the part and prevents screw loosening.
When rotating in the direction of loosening the bolt to artificially loosen the bolt, the upper spring fixed to the groove at the top of the bolt end is forcibly deformed and wound around the end of the bolt. The lower end of the spring moves by this wound distance and is installed at the bottom of the bolt. It moves to the locking jaw, which pushes the lower end of the spring and contracts it in the centrifugal direction of the spring, making it easier to release.
Boalak bolts are disposable, but can be used again by replacing the spring.
Our company was established to create alternative demand for reliability, stability, high efficiency, and high value-added creation in all industries through the groundbreaking discovery and invention of anti-loosening nuts among Bolt and Nut fastener, the basic materials of major industries such as automobiles, electronics, construction, machinery, and aerospace etc.
