Boalock is an anti-loosening nut that uses the rotational elastic force of a coil spring.
The BoaLock nut creates a spring room on the thread of a regular nut to place the spring, creates a groove at the upper end of the nut, bends the upper spring end, and inserts it into the groove, and there is a protrusion inside the nut at a certain distance from the end of the lower spring.
When the bolt is fastened to the nut, it is first fastened to the thread and then the spring is fastened. At this time, the opposite end of the spring is fixed in the groove on the nut, so the friction force between the spring and the bolt thread is applied in the circumferential direction, causing the spring to spread, causing the nut to open is easily fastened with bolts.
When the nut is about to be loosened due to a non-artificial external environment (vibration, etc.), frictional force is applied to cause the spring to wind toward the centrifugal direction, thereby holding the bolt strongly and preventing the bolt from loosening.
When loosening the nut artificially, the spring and nut are combined, and when the spring rotates together with the nut, the bending part at the upper end of the spring for disposable (EZ) breaks away, and for reusable (RU), the bending part at the upper end of the spring falls into the groove. The principle is that the lower end of the spring touches the protrusion installed inside the nut and pushes the lower end of the spring in the circumferential direction, allowing the bolt to be easily loosened.
Our company was established to create alternative demand for reliability, stability, high efficiency, and high value-added creation in all industries through the groundbreaking discovery and invention of anti-loosening nuts among Bolt and Nut fastener, the basic materials of major industries such as automobiles, electronics, construction, machinery, and aerospace etc.
