PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Sulfadiol 7Q / GS-7Q
Characteristic
SULFADIOL ® 7Q is a good reactive dispersant for water borne polyurethane dispersant( PUD) with strong hydrophilic property and also has a good compatibility with acid ic or bas ic co ndition , then which can widely applica ble with various reagent. It was developed as a product to replacemen t of DMBA, DMPA with carboxyl ionic center. So SULFADIOL ® 7Q has highly hydrophilic property and storage stability than DMPA , and also has low sensitivity to influence of external environment (temperature or pH ). Furthermore, due to the SULFADIOL ® 7Q is a neutralized by sulfonated sodium salt type , which is no needed the neutralizer, allows a wider range of process variations in preparing the polyurethane dispersion.
Recommended Use
The direct reaction of GS-7Q in TDI and MDI reactions cannot proceed with a stable reaction. It is advantageous to proceed
with the reaction through a step reaction rather than a direct reaction.

GS-7Q is less compatible than other type dispersant agent.
In particular, it is more incompatible with ester type polyols having a molecular weight of 1,200 g/mole(M.W) or more and
ether type polyols having a molecular weight of 500 g/mole(M.W) or more.
To overcome compatibility issues, it is advantageous to proceed with the following methods:
· When the initial reaction starts, a solvent is added to increase compatibility.
· Maximize reactivity with a step reaction.
· Control the input timing of catalyst to prevent local reactions.
Storage and Before use
Since GS-7Q has very strong hydrophilic performance, it is necessary to ensure sealing after use to prevent water and
moisture from penetrating.
